Bryngwilla Lodge , St Martins Road , Gledrid , Oswestry , Shropshire , SY10 7AY , United Kingdom
A contemporary extension to a late 1920's Arts & Craft style house mentioned in Pevsner's 'The Buildings of England'. Accommodating an artist's studio and a large kitchen and dining area the extension is designed to open up the house and better connect it to the long west facing rear garden. Over sized windows and sliding doors together with roof lights allow light to penetrate deep into the interior, while underfloor heating and high levels of insulation enable the cedar clad extension to act as a buffer to the otherwise poorly heated original house. The start of construction was delayed due to Covid 19.
