We provided architecture, cost consultancy and structural engineering services for the development of a new Police Station building, associated parking and external storage buildings for The Police & Crime Commissioner for Norfolk. The building follows the gentle curve of the estate road to define focal frontage. The office block maximises the solar gain on the south side to reduce the energy required to light the space. A central glazed core area is located at the hinge of the curved floor plan that protrudes from front to back to bring light into the heart of the building and to connect the various departments within. A light buff brick was used with a contrasting dark grey brick with an overhanging mono pitch roof.
