Ford Farm is a Grade II listed farmstead with C12th origins in the rural hinterlands of Bradford-on-Avon. Once owned by the nuns of Shaftesbury Abbey and rented to Thomas Atte Forde for 1d (pence) a year, the farmstead has now been fully renovated and ready to welcome new guests (although for slightly more than 1 pence.) The current buildings date from the relatively modern early 19th Century however the history of the site still required a sympathetic and understanding approach to renovate the main house and convert the slowly dilapidating outbuildings in holiday accommodation. Whilst the planning process was turbulent this was surprisingly not down to the heritage status of the property and more down to the potential flooding issues on the site.
