Cayford Design was appointed for design and full project management for this four storey Victorian house in Shepherds Bush. The property was completely derelict, and has been fully renovated back to the brick external walls. The 50mm cement render was expertly removed from the front elevation and the brickwork was restored using lime-mortar. The client wished to combine authentic Victorian restoration with comfortable modern living. Approvals for the 6m extension were negotiated which contain the family kitchen-dining room with flowing connection to the outside. Significant thermal insulation is installed, with MVHR used on the upper bedroom levels for thermal comfort and air quality.
