Cayford was appointed to coordinate the rebuilding of this new-build five storey mixed development. A planning enforcement had been served on the property following the incorrect construction of the planning approval achieved by ibla in 2007. Cayford’s role included re-designing and achieving planning approval for the new facade & new plan layouts, providing full detailed construction information, and implementation of the scheme which required substantial demolition and re-building. The 11 flats comply with the London Plan, and are designed to be environmentally sustainable to near-Passivhaus standards. The two storey restaurant and shop required substantial building services modification. The project is modelled in 3D Revit, and follows BIM protocol. Cayford arranged the full design team, and acted as Contract Administrator and Principal Designer.
