Cayford was appointed to coordinate the redesign and construction of this new-build five storey mixed development. A planning enforcement had been served on the partially built property following the incorrect construction of the planning approval achieved by ibla in 2007. Cayford achieved a new planning approval for the facade & plan layouts, providing full detailed construction information, and implementation of the scheme which required substantial demolition and re-building. The 11 flats comply with the London Plan, and are designed to be environmentally sustainable to near-Passivhaus standards. The two storey restaurant and shop required substantial building services modification. The project is modelled in 3D Revit, and follows BIM protocol. Cayford arranged the full design team, and acted as Contract Administrator and Principal Designer.
