Cayford supported the expansion of Gordon Primary School in Ilford, delivering a new 1,000 sqm two-storey teaching block as part of the school’s transformation from an infants school into a full primary. The new building was constructed with modular construction (MMC) and assembled on site in just four days. In parallel, the existing school was extensively remodelled and extended—all completed while the school remained fully operational. Working closely with design-build contractor Cosmur Construction, we assembled and managed the full professional team, produced detailed construction drawings & specifications, secured planning permission and building regulation approvals. This project demonstrates our ability to manage complex education projects with tight timelines and live site constraints, while maintaining a clear focus on design quality and delivery.
