East Devon

£250,000 to £499,999
Camillin Denny Design have designed this building as a ‘grand farmhouse’ it sits on a 3 acre plot. Originally there was an old stone farm workers house on the site that had been altered over the years and become a hotchpotch of styles and materials. In June 2015 Camillin Denny Design applied for planning permission to demolish the house and build a new timber framed house with attached annexe, the house sits next to the Offwell brook, a fast flowing stream that runs through the valley down to Colyton. it is in an area of outstanding natural beauty, totally rural reached through a labyrinth of tunnel like country lanes. the farming locally is dairy cattle and livestock interspersed with the odd field of maize. The house plan is a courtyard design and the building splits neatly into two part; the main house and the ‘studio’ a separate self-contained annexe that can be used as a holiday let or granny annexe. The site is sloping and therefore the ground and first floors are laid out over two levels to take account of this slope.
