Alteration to existing property, Within a Conservation Area
18 Hanway Street, HQ to the organisation of Soho Housing Ltd. was a project that was commenced with the initial feasibility study pre 'lock down' March 2020. The project naturally evolved and adapted during 2020, investigating many new working scenarios presented to the client and design team by the new normal challenges that surrounded the organisation and tenants served by the clients housing team. The final frozen design went to tender towards the end of 2020, (4th 1/4) with a commence date on site in December 2020. At commencement the anticipated length of project was 12-14 weeks, from the initial start date of December. The target date was met with an efficient procurement team committed to working throughout the restrictions and being motivated to turn round the space for our clients as expediently as possible. The client was very satisfied at the result, speed, budget and quality of execution. C3M studio continue to work with the organisation, maximising the portfolio of other properties in Westminster and Camden. And are very much looking forward to working with the 'Principal Contractor' again: Scott Osborn.
