This late Grade 2 18th century house was repaired and refurbished, and a late 19th century outbuilding bakery was repaired and converted to form part of the living accommodation. The project includes the reroofing of the bakery building, the careful repair and restoration of the shopfront, painted sign, brickwork and existing box sash windows. Contemporary interventions included the making of a sequence of interior spaces on the ground floor, leading from a formal dining space in the shop, through a snug into a yard containing a glazed galley kitchen, finally concluding in a double height living space in the bakery.
