The Design Consultancy client for this project, located in Bromborough, Wirral, required their newly acquired offices and warehouse to be altered and reworked to create a design studio, meeting spaces and offices. To facilitate the changes new steel structures will be inserted within the existing building to create new mezzanine levels and open-plan studio space with frameless glazed meeting spaces to create an open and dramatic space. Key to the scheme was producing mood boards and palettes of materials that would create a modern creative atmosphere whilst being tough and indusrial in nature to reflect the aesthetics of the warehouse. Amongst other features, the use of magnetic plastered walls and whiteboard and blackboard paint will enable to the studio walls to be used as informal presentation areas for ideas and brainstorming sessions.
