The brief for this extension to an existing detached house in Hoylake, Wirral, was to open up the existing cellular and fragment arrangement of the Kitchen / Dining and Utility rooms and create a more sensible use of space whilst opening up the rear of the house to the garden. The opportunity was also taken to take an existing under-utilised room at the rear of the house to create a Boot / Utility Room, adjacent to a new garden store.
