The brief for this project was to extend an existing 3 bedroom detached property so that it included a new bedroom within the roof space, an attached garage, an extended an improved open-plan kitchen / dining / living space at Ground level and the addition of an en-suite bathroom to the Master Bedroom. Key to the scheme was to make sure that the final scheme looked as if it could have been part of the original house rather than contrasting with it. Several alternative plans and elevational treatments were investigated before the final scheme was agreed on to ensure that the client chose the right scheme to suit the way they wanted to live in the house.
