The New Visitor Centre is a steel framed cantilevered building clad in Oko skin, projecting over the River Tummel at Pitlochry, beside the Hydro Electric Power Dam and the famous salmon ladder. The new centre provided an opportunity to create an ecological custom designed facility housing welcome orientation, retail, café, multi purpose space for corporate activity, education and community use and interpretation exhibition displaying the History and Future of Hydro, the Salmon Story and the social story.
