The Garment Building , Fishers Lane , Chiswick , London , W4 1RX
LUXURY ARCHITECTURE AT A PRIZED ADDRESS A collaboration between Bruce Henderson Architects and Bruce Henderson Interiors, the 14-storey building is comprised of just 42 residences, crowned by a $45 million double-storey deluxe penthouse. Each apartment was crafted as though it was an individual home, with bespoke, handcrafted fittings referencing a luxurious past, present and future. To create truly luxury architecture, we sought architectural inspiration from New York City and the jazz-age 1920s and 1930s, and the art of coach building for such luxury design cars as those by Delage, Delahaye, Packard, Duesenberg and others. Designing for an identified market of high net-worth individuals meant security, convenience, privacy and personalisation were given the utmost consideration. The building features a round-the-clock concierge service, number plate recognition technology to the garages and porte-cochere, and a residents-only entry on Toorak Road West. The exterior shape of the building drapes like a veil and elegantly cascades from top to bottom. Circular motifs are found in a large scale on the floorplans and within the Paul Bangay landscaping concept. Circles are also evident throughout the architecture and interiors including circular swimming pools, curved island benches in the kitchens and round baths in the ensuites.
