brp architects were appointed to prepare detailed design proposals for the conversion of a former grain silo to create a residential annexe to their existing dwelling at Cock Abingdon Farm in Hallaton. The overall principle behind the scheme was to create a functional space that brought a redundant feature back into use. In determining the internal layout, and seeking to reintroduce a modern interpretation of the original pumphouse the proposals also include a small contemporary extension that not only provides stunning views across the open countryside but equally is sensitively integrated within the surrounding context.
