This scheme, to bring five suburban practices together in one building, set fourth thorough in depth sequential site tests of twenty-three sites in the surgeries catchment areas spanning several years. The nature of the selected site and surroundings required careful design consideration to minimize site impact. This was achieved by setting the building back from the road and by incorporating undercroft parking minimising the hard landscaping and respond to potential food issues. Two wings flank the central reception core with an atrium over and integrated pharmacy and cafe area either side of the main entrance. Over Thirty Consulting and Treatment rooms together with a future expansion space provide ample facilities for the five practices four of which are cleverly merged together while keeping one of the practices individual identity. The site is within food zone 3 and has undergone extensive consultation with the environment agency and local authority.
