This new-build 'Integrated Centre for Health' is located on a greenfield site on the outskirts of the village. The existing medical practices and the whole team framework is innovative and displays a level of GP led integration that is unsurpassed anywhere else in the country. The facility is for a ten GP practice taking the lead with all community based PCT activities under one roof. In addition a substantial amount of additional space is being provided for complementary therapies, diagnostics health food cafe, pharmacy, patient and support groups. Externally in addition to substantial amounts of vehicular parking are to be found patient welfare areas such as health food garden and physic garden promoting healing in an holistic environment. A sustainable approach is being considered by the team as a whole embracing an ecologically friendly approach wherever practicable.
