Our brief was to turn this property from a neglected probate property in to an extended family home. the property was fully extended on the ground floor and in tot he roof, with a back to brick full strip down and all new services. The brief was to retain as many original features within the main body of the property, while introducing a contemporary element to the house. The proportions of the property were not originally generous so we dropped the ground floor level to gain some height, and also introduced lots of natural light to give a sense of larger scale to the property. Storage was also a key factor so much of the joinery and cabinetry was built in, and designed along side the client. the landscaping was also included to ensure full coherence across the property on completion.
