A new nursery for King's House School in Richmond. Designed to provide nursery facilities as a feeder to the junior school for two mixed reception classes of up to 60 children, the refurbished former school building opened in January 2009. The Building of Townscape Merit in The Alberts, part of the sensitive St Matthias Conservation Area, has been totally overhauled to a very high standard, including new staff rooms, teaching areas and brightly coloured washrooms. The nursery school is completed by a contemporary copper-clad entrance and new play areas, surrounded by carefully restored railings adjacent to the Conservation Area and topped off with a new clock.
