The scheme involved the demolision of the existing outbuildings to the rear of the property and to construct an extension to provide two new surgeries together with additioanl waiting space whilst also providing accessible toilet provision to the building. Existing internal ground floor spaces will also be remodelled to provide new office and record keeping space from an existing surgery. A new sterilisation room to upgrade the practice in line with new guidance on cross contamination has also been included. The modifications will result in the majority of the surgeries now being at ground floor rather than at first floor level with the purpose built surgeries and new WC accommodation providing greater accessibility for all patients including the elderly and disabled. Internally the new extension will provide a new waitng area with purpose build seating to lead lined window with views out to a small courtyard space. The project is due to be completed by Spring 2009.
