A new headquarters building and infrastructure works for a computer software company based near Marlow, Buckinghamshire. The completed phase 1 office accommodation is contained within a sinuous 2 storey wing, linked by a central hub which incorporates support and social facilities for staff and visitors. The non-hierarchical company ethos is reflected in the layout of the building, enabling personal control of the individual working environment. The building has been designed to a human scale whilst providing maximum flexibility for the client. The low-energy development employs innovative environmental processes such as shading to reduce solar gain, water cooling, grey water re-cycling and cross-and- stack ventilation.
