The conversion of the stables and tack room in the heart of the Wheatley Conservation area and within the grounds of a listed farmhouse now provides a self-contained residential annexe. The existing stonework was repaired and all the existing door and window openings reused. The use of a restrained palette of materials – stone, oak, simple fenestration and plain clay tiles creates a peaceful oasis in the garden of the existing house.
