Renovated butchers shop with new student accommodation over in a listed building at the centre of the market town of Buckingham. Design Challenges / Opportunities When working with existing listed building we are faced with challenges and opportunities. These were taken and overcome by working closely with the client to establish how their requirements could be met within these constraints. A series of interventions were introduced to reinforce the client’s brand identity and produce an architectural layout that preserves the historic fabric whilst improving both space and function.
