The project is a detached contemporary 4-bedroom house, on a waterfront site, with its own slipway access to the harbour. Brightspace staff were instrumental in the delivery of the original planning approval while at another practice; Brightspace then took the project forward and were responsible for the tender and construction stage information helping the contractor in the delivery of the finished building. The site's proximity to the harbour, together with the sunken level of basement accommodation, required liaison with and approval from the Environment Agency and the resolution of a number of technical flood and high ground water related issues.
