Contact PracticeBIG is a group of architects, designers, engineers and thinkers operating within the fields of architecture, urbanism, landscape, engineering, research and development with offices in London, Copenhagen, and New York City. Founded in 2005 by Bjarke Ingels, BIG has created a reputation for completing buildings that are as programmatically and technically innovative as they are cost and resource conscious. Our philosophy recognises the added value to be brought to each building site, and our recipe of programmatic alchemy allows for the development of constructible and economical designs. BIG LONDON was established in 2016 and is based in Broadgate, City of London where we are currently working on multiple projects in the UK, Europe and Middle East. Projects include the new London headquarters for Google UK that creates an architecture that fits the scale and the community of King’s Cross in a building that couples clarity with eccentricity, and anchors innovation with heritage; a large-scale mixed-use project for LandSec on the River Thames; an innovative commercial tower in Berlin; two large masterplan projects in the Middle East, the new Gateway Building for the regeneration of Euston Station, London plus several feasibility studies and pre-planning projects. At BIG London, we have the tools and resources to carry our bold visions into reality and to control the process from the first sketch through to construction. Andreas Klok Pedersen, Partner and Design Director of the London office, leads a team of 35 dedicated architects, designers, and administrative staff.
