Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios moved their London office into Twenty Tottenham Street to give themselves a ground floor presence and a shop window onto the street. Their studio covers the ground and first floors of this building and is next to the Derwent London showroom. A new bespoke plywood stair tower inside a larch covered timber box connects the two floors and allows natural light into the deeper parts of the plan. FCBS were keen to provide a public vantage point for their work and to offer a series of events throughout the year that engage the wider community. The ground floor provides for this by housing a large flexible cafe space with a simple white kitchen along one wall. Lunch for the staff is catered for in house and the space is used at other times for conferences, lectures, presentations and exhibitions.
