About the practice

Beasley Dickson Architects combine strong design ideas and material understanding with a bespoke and professional service. Beasley Dickson believe that good design is embodied with a long-lasting permanence that can stand the test of time. A rigorous design approach is taken to every project which seeks to create architecture that is anchored in the specifics of brief, site and social context while revealing new and surprising relationships. Established in 2014 by Melissa Beasley and David Dickson, the studio works on a diverse range of private, public and commercial projects at a variety of scales, from a piece of furniture to a row of new houses. At home with the challenges presented by new-builds and conservation, the practice confidently contribute to the built environment in both urban and rural contexts. The team draws inspiration from historical and contemporary references to develop a design language that can respond to each particular place they work in. Beasley Dickson see architecture as an ongoing conversation that looks to past influences and considers potential future phases of development.
