Main Road is a development of 6 homes in Danbury, Essex, that BDA designed. The masterplan is laid out in two groups of semi detached and link detached houses in a mix of render and facing brickwork. The site forms part of a pattern of linear development along Main Road within the Conservation Area and is close to a group of listed buildings. The existing building made no contribution to the Conservation Area and was a site with great potential for re-development. The finished scheme is of a more suitable scale to relate with the existing buildings in the immediate vicinity.
