The development proposed the demolition of the existing bungalow on the site in order to clear the way for the positioning of a new dwelling in the same location. The architecture itself is contemporary yet uses a palette of good quality traditional and local materials presenting a predominately rendered bungalow with first floor accommodation within a natural slate roof structure that allows fenestration through dormer construction. The layout over three floors is dug into the site so that volume and impact are lessened from the roadside and whilst all levels maintain the stunning views to the coastline beyond.
