We have enhanced the historic assets of this town centre by restoring it for the future. The project improves facilities for traders and visitors by creating a new flexible public space. The new Market roof increases daylight and improves ventilation, and the restored, re-laid cobbles offer better accessibility. A curved stainless steel pavilion provides a new aesthetic and demonstrates how modernist designs can interact with historic fabric.
