This site is located on the eastern boundary of Budleigh Salterton, within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This project aims to simplify the current internal layout of the existing bungalow, creating generous sized spaces; and to add a contemporary two-storey extension to the rear. The contemporary extension to the rear of the property will create a clear distinction between the new and existing building with minimal impact on the surrounding area and current streetscape. The expansive openings within the extension allow light deep into the building whilst also maximising the views to the south and out towards the coast. An additional deck area will be added to the south, aiding the transition between inside and out.
