Ayshford Sansome were appointed by Ipeco Holdings to assist with developing a brief for the interior fit-out of a shell and core building which had been purchased on spec from the developer, and with works due to commence on site. Following an initial review it became clear that the base build design would not offer the best opportunities for the Business and, following a series of feasibility and space planning exercises, changes were implemented to the main build without disruption to the construction programme, highlighting the importance of early engagement. While our role was initially for the interior design of the 2,800 sqm of Reception, Catering, Office and Communal space it was soon extended to cover the main manufacturing hall where every piece of equipment was modelled in 3D, proving invaluable for the Client’s technical personnel to assess placement and operational flows and leading to a number of key adjustments which otherwise would not have been realised before the equipment arrived. As part of this commission a series of 3D visuals and animated fly-through videos were produced to explore options, space and colour choices with the users
