This project involved the demolition of two thirds of an existing non-descript brick house and via the addition of substantial new build elements and complete re-cladding an extensive contemporary residence was created. Boasting open plan living areas to both front and rear each of the five-bedroom suites has an en-suite bathroom, dressing area and external terrace. The sloping site presented some interesting design opportunities which enabled the creation of a sub-basement to house garaging and games space. Large glazed areas ensure strong connections to the external spaces and views beyond taking advantage of the site’s elevated position. The top floor mater-suite sits within a penthouse style box and features a wraparound terrace. *Whilst employed by BBF Fielding Architecture.
