The project sought to renovate and extend an existing 18th century Cotswold Stone cottage on the outskirts of Minchinhampton, Stroud, Gloucestershire and unite what was an old garage outbuilding via a stunning contemporary link. The property has been in the family for a few generations and this project provided the opportunity to sympathetically future proof it with a view to adaptation to the demands of modern living. Sustainability has been at the core of the project - natural building materials were used throughout with the principal structural material being timber. Wood fibre insulation and natural renders & paints have been used throughout the scheme.
