While at IDL Architecture, Matthew Austen was Associate Director and worked on the conservation of a Grade II * house in Mayfair, London. The project consisted of the conservation of the existing house along with the addition of an extension which linked the house the existing mews. A complete basement was also added bringing the floor area to 23,000 sqft. The project gained Planning Approval and Listed Building Consent and is on going.
