We were appointed as Delivery Architect for the remodelling and extension of this major property in Mayfair. Dating from 1906, this grade II listed building is the fine work of the architect Frank Verity. The original façade, with its Louis VI-inflected styling, conceals a superbly re-imagined, modern office space of the highest quality, offering a total of 56,000 sq ft. of office space. Atomik were appointed for the construction phase of the project to lead the completion of design information. This required coordination of a novated design team and the contractor’s supply chains. Key was ensuring compliance with the original architect’s Planning and Listed Building Consents and conforming with statutory requirements, whilst also achieving a buildable and cost effective build. This project required us to be based on site within the contractor team, to be at hand to coordinate and detail the interfaces of the various subcontractor packages.
