The Client brief was to create a family orientated space with good visual links between the existing Dining Room and Kitchen, and to maintain a Utility Room and hopefully include a Wc. AWA suggested reversing the original layout of the house so that the Kitchen, with higher level window sill would be moved away form the best views of the garden, which could then be fully enjoyed from the new open plan arrangement and enlarged fenestration apertures. All modelled in 3D for better exploration of the available options. A building information model [BIM] was created to show the Client the effects of the open plan arrangement.
