Renaissance has kickstarted the wider revitalisation of Lewisham, transforming a previously run-down site into a vibrant community and sustainable place. This mixed-use scheme comprises 795 new private and affordable dwellings, a state-of-the-art Leisure Centre alongside a variety of commercial space. The strategy also includes a new public realm, urban event spaces and commissioned artworks embedded into the architecture, such as the striking leisure centre façade designed by local artist Phil Coy. At the centre of the development, eleven townhouses meet the Code for Sustainable Homes level 6 with photovoltaics, grey water harvesting, renewable energies and high thermal and acoustic performance.
