Paynes and Borthwick has revitalised a riverside site in Greenwich to provide 257 private and affordable apartments alongside 10 live-work units, an art gallery, waterfront restaurants and retail space, all organised around a reinstated historic street and communal courtyard. The distinct grade II listed Paynes Wharf building has been sensitively restored to retain its original fa£ades with a new two-storey glass and steel rooftop pavilion located on its riverside elevation. In contrast, a contemporary slender eighteen storey building marks provides a counterpoint to the edge of the site to the east.
