The Soil Association purchased an old office building in Central Bristol in 2016, to create their new Head Quarters. Askew Cavanna Architects were appointed in 2017 for the internal refurbishment, and worked alongside the Charity and Max Fordham to redesign the building inline with the principles of agile working, healthy living and well-being. This was vital given the strong sustainable and ethical ethos of the Charity. Askew Cavanna were appointed as Lead Designer / Architect from RIBA stage 0-4, and responded to site queries / visited site during construction. Numerous consultations and engagement events were carried out throughout the design process, with directors, staff & trustees to ensure that everyone was fully involved. Bespoke furniture was designed in collaboration with staff for the entrance reception area.
