About the practice

We are an inventive architecture practice. We’re known for our design integrity, investigative approach and exceptional delivery with projects as unique and memorable as our clients. Whether homes or hotels, housing schemes or members’ clubs, we design with imagination and empathy, creating authentic, enduring buildings. Our work brings depth and humanity to public and private life. We investigate: We design to enhance life. Delving into context – people, culture, landscape, history – we develop authentic responses rooted in their surroundings. We think about how people move, connect and feel, considering function and flow, weaving light and nature to turn everyday experiences into something memorable. We collaborate: We are a true partner. Building personal client relationships, we work together to refine and define the vision, shaping a design story that meets your specific needs. Trusted to lead, we assemble the right team for each project, collaborating with experienced contractors and consultants to coordinate the design. We innovate: We design for longevity. Developing tailored sustainability strategies, we consider construction techniques, maximise what already exists and specify honest materials to create robust, thoughtfully detailed buildings that last lifetimes John Ashton founded the practice in 2018 on the belief that architecture should enhance wellbeing and improve everyday life – a belief that guides how we work to this day. Based in London, our energetic, experienced team shares values, ideas, lunch and adventures. Together, we create space for life.
