The extensive demolition, renovation and extension to an existing home for a private client began in Spring 2019, with the proposals for a large, detached family dwelling now well underway. The design carefully clusters the ground floor communal areas together, with the ‘quieter’ rooms being located away from the main living spaces. An elongated and interconnecting library room joins all the ground floor spaces together. The four bedrooms are all located at first floor level, with the master bedroom enjoying views to the rear with the incorporation of a large window and double doors with a Juliet balcony. Externally, the existing brick façade has been altered with a limited palette of materials for a refined aesthetic. A mix of vertical timber cladding and white render, as well as small, selected areas of local stone applied to give the dwelling a clean, contemporary appearance. Stage 6 - Handover
