This project involved the complete refurbishment and 100% extension to a dated 1970's coastal residence. The completed building enhances the prominent coastal position, panoramic sea views and user experience. The sympathetic use of natural materials and contemporary feel has transformed the property into modern life. Materials used include recycled newspaper insulation within breathable timber frame construction, locally grown timber and softwood flooring throughout. The addition of photovoltaic panels supplements the buildings energy consumption when occupied and generates electricity when not in use.
