Ori and Cactus are a new modern oriental fusion restaurant and bubble tea cafe situated within the Belle Vale Shopping Centre in Liverpool. The empty shell unit would be split into separate restaurant and cafe with a new mezzanine level providing a seating area for the restaurant overlooking the space below. It would be the first of this type of restaurant and cafe in the area. We were appointed as the Architects for architectural service from RIBA work stages 0-4. Our services included design development, planning and building regulations applications, co-ordinating the design team and tender. We worked closely with our client to achieve the particular design they wanted for the fit-out, with much focus on the interior design, finishes, colour scheme and lighting. We also designed bespoke furniture including the bench seating, bar counter and storage/display units as well as lighting specific to complement the overall design.
