The upgrades proposed were mainly to the shop frontage, namely the large window/s, this is due to significant rot set within the sub-cill and frame. It is proposed to remake the main window/s, retaining the existing style and scale and is essentially a copy of the existing shop front. It is considered that this would not have any detrimental impact on the conservation area (street scene) as it will retain the style and the existing glazing is a modern laminated glass, therefore a recent replacement. Due to the amount of repairs, the re-make of the main shop frontage windows are essential. The existing glazing to the commercial element (current shop frontage), being laminated glass will be replaced with laminated glass that meets current safety/building standards.
