The Orchard sits in the middle of the desirable village of Abbotskerswell, with access through a gated entrance found on Manor Road. Abbotskerswell is full of history and character, situated in a quiet valley with little traffic passing through. The proposal’s orientation has been set to maximise the sun's orientation and will maintain a garden that can enjoy a southerly aspect. With the main living spaces being organised to benefit from the sun's orientation, aiding solar gain during colder months. This will also bring the additional advantages of fantastic (sunny) views across the southerly garden. The size of this proposal sits comfortably in the 0.6 acre site and we have taken considerable care to reduce the bulk and mass of the elevations so that the dwelling does not detract from its setting.
