The Hyatt Regency Don-Plaza Hotel is an integral part of the Hyatt Regency Rostov Don-Plaza mixed-use complex in Rostov-on-Don, Russia. In 2011 Alexander Rakita and AR Architecture were appointed to take over a project that its design initially started back in 2005 and later stalled. AR-Architecture kick-started the design process back into life in mid-March 2012 and completed it in December 2012. Work on site resumed in January 2013 and completion is scheduled for spring 2016. In the course of the construction AR Architecture remains involved on the client’s side supervising the contractor’s working design; AR Architecture has also updated the detailed interior design for the retail part, Retail Gallery Don-Plaza project. Alexander Rakita was involved with the project since the beginning designing its first version in 2005-2006 as a Project Leader and then Assciate Director in Murray O’Laoire Architects, MOLA (Ireland).
