Roedean School is a renowned girls independent school with a Grade 2 listed school campus, with late 19th century Arts and Crafts buildings by former RIBA President Sir John Simpson. AOC were appointed by Roedean School to develop a 10 year masterplan with a series of budgeted phased projects. We have delivered a new Sixth Form Centre and are currently designing a new library. Both phases seek to define a new learning commons - a series of communal spaces throughout the historic buildings that require refurbishment to create an innovative, 21st century learning environment. The focus has been on nurturing a love of learning by creating physically and socially interactive spaces over which the pupils feel a sense of ownership.
