Villa 9010 is a new, energy-efficient,  4-bedroom villa constructed for a young family in a coastal village in South County Dublin. We found an opportunity to insert a new dwelling in the side garden of the Client's childhood home through the demolition of an existing garage and boat shed. This light-filled home is centred around a series of flowing interconnected living spaces, which use varying spatial levels to create different zones for cooking, dining, sitting etc. The first floor is connected to the ground floor via a double-height library space that is lit from above by a central pitched oculus. The corner-to-corner frameless glazing in the bedrooms open up views towards Dublin Bay through the surrounding foliage.
