The client wanted to construct a kitchen extension with a lantern rooflight and bifold doors to give direct access to the garden. The lower ground floor would be extended into the existing lower rear courtyard. We measured and drew up plans of the existing building, prepared options for the extension and applied for planning permission and listed building consent with a Design and Access Statement and a Heritage Impact Statement. After Planning permission was granted the client put the project on hold, but we expect to be involved with the technical design and construction in due course.
